My Pick
[draft]wall of mulch[/draft]
The best colors in this pack are Green and White.
That said, if we take a white card, like Raise the Alarm, we send three other decent white cards, giving the impression that White is open.
By taking a Green card we hope to avoid the whole fight for White all together.
Keep in mind thought that you should take the best card regardless of color.
I like the options you get with Wall of Mulch. You can block early aggressors and then draw a card when it’s no longer needed.

Would you first pick Wall of Mulch?
I would not discount the Commons in a draft. I have lost to a guy who had Invisibility and I had no way to block his creatures. If I already was going blue, I would take it. Also, drafting the Ultra rare in this case would be a mistake unless you needed it to complete your collection, so I agree with that choice to leave the Sliver. I also like walls, so I would draft the wall first too unless I was not going green.
It’s too hard to make a 5 color deck work in M15 and the payout is not that great.
Even is you first picked the Sliver Hivelord you are not guaranteed to get any of the other slivers.
Commons make the back bone of your deck and should not be discounted, you’re right. But because they are common you will see more of them through the draft so picking up an uncommon that won’t come around as often is often better. (Assuming you need it for your deck.)
As for Invisibility, I don’t like it because if I have it on a creature and my opponent plays a removal spell like [card]Lightning Strike[/card] or [card]Flesh to Dust[/card] then I just got 2 for 1’d. That’s why removal goes at a premium in Limited. You should pick up a few removal spells early in the draft. (Bouncing a creature with [card]Peel from Reality[/card] or [card]Into the Void[/card] is blue’s form of removal. The enchantment goes to the graveyard when the creature goes to the hand.)
