My Pick
[draft]banishing light[/draft]
Banishing Light is the new Oblivion Ring (reworded to eliminate a fringe rule loophole). In Theros block Banishing Light is great because it exiles pesky indestructible cards like gods and hard to interact with cards like enchantments and huge creatures.
In both the early and late games Banishing Light is useful. In an aggressive deck you can play it early to remove a blocker and get in more damage. But in a slower, control deck you can play it late to affect the board in a way you normally wouldn’t be able to – such as removing large creatures or an enchantment.
First picking Banishing Light I feel keeps us open as we move to pick two and gives us an excellent removal spell, which are always at a premium in Limited.
